Metformin - an oldie but a goodie!

Metformin - an oldie but a goodie!

Scientists have found a cheap and common diabetes drug used since the 1950s that can de-age monkeys, which could be a breakthrough for longevity research.

Metformin is gaining attention for its potential to reverse aging and extend lifespan. A study published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Cell shows that it may help slow the ageing process by reducing inflammation, improving DNA stability, and promoting cellular repair.

Research conducted on animals has demonstrated that metformin can enhance cognitive function, reduce tissue damage, and delay the onset of age-related diseases such as heart disease and dementia.

Scientists are now exploring using Metformin beyond diabetes management, targeting it as a longevity therapy. Ongoing studies aim to confirm its anti-ageing effects on humans, potentially revolutionising approaches to ageing and age-related diseases.

We highly recommend that you ask your Doctor to prescribe Metformin.  If they won’t, we can source Berberine, a natural alternative.
